La Madia Teaches Ragus and Stews

The next La Madia Winter Cooking Class presented by Chef / Owner Jonathan Fox on Saturday, February 20, will be Ragus & Stews – perfect for dishes for cold weather.  Recipes for these extended simmers include a lamb ragu with celery, onions, tomatoes served with ricotta over pasta and a classic cioppino or seafood stew.  Chef Fox will show proper cooking techniques while participants enjoy samples and perfectly paired wine selections.

About the La Madia Cooking Class Series: Chicagoans are invited to join Chef/Owner Jonathan Fox for lazy Italian-style Saturday afternoons in the kitchen for Winter Cooking Classes and Wine Tasting Series.  On the third Saturday of the month through March, Chef Fox will teach participants both classic and modern methods and recipes in Italian cooking.

COST:             $30 includes class, tastings, recipes and paired wine.
