Duke’s March Events

Guests can warm up at Duke’s Alehouse and Kitchen with great specials and events running all month long.  From comedy nights, live jazz and karaoke to Green Drinks networking opportunities and Beer School 101, Duke’s is the Crystal Lake entertainment headquarters.

Green Drinks
Wednesday, March 3 from 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM
Guests will enjoy Leprechaun Kiss Cocktails (Prairie Organic Vodka, Creme de Cocoa, Creme de Menthe, St. Germaine).  Paired with complimentary small bites.

Beer School 101
Wednesday, March 10 from 7:00 PM – 9:00 PM
Guests are invited to become beer connoisseurs and learn the ins and outs of the frothy stuff at Duke’s Alehouse and Kitchen’s monthly Beer 101 School.  In celebration of St. Patrick’s Day this March, Duke’s will feature “The Black List”.  Guests will enjoy mixed beer concoctions such as the well known “Half and Half” and “Black and Tan”.  Other less familiar Guinness mixes include “The Snake Bite” and “Black and Blue”.  Participants will also have the chance to pour the perfect pint of Guinness behind the bar.  Specially paired, complimentary small bites will be provided.  RESERVATIONS REQUIRED by calling 815.356.9980.
$25 per person, $5 discount for card-carrying members of the American Homebrewer’s Association

Duke’s St. Patrick’s Day Celebration
Saturday, March 13 from 4:00 PM – 1:00 AM AND Wednesday, March 17 from 11:30 AM – 12:30 AM
$5 cover beginning at 4:00 PM both dates
Saturday, March 13
The celebration starts on Saturday, March 13 with Irish Step Dancers performing from 4:00 PM – 5:00 PM followed by the Irish tunes of Merry Measure from 5:00 PM – 9:00 PM.  Guests will rock out to the music of Rolling Stones Tribute Band, Hot Rocks, when they take the stage from 10:00 PM – 1:00 AM.
Wednesday, March 17
Guests are invited to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day at Duke’s all day Irish party.  Guests will enjoy traditional Irish music by Cú Roi from 11:30 AM – 1:30 PM, followed by a presentation of Irish Step Dancing from 4:00 PM – 5:00 PM.  Mulligan Stew takes the stage at 5:00 PM, followed by the music of OCD from 10:00 PM – 12:30 AM.

Earth Hour Candlelit Dinner
Saturday, March 27 from 8:30 – 9:30 PM
In honor of National Earth Hour, Duke’s will be shutting off the lights and hosting a candlelit dinner on Saturday, March 27 from 8:30 – 9:30 PM.  Guests can enjoy a free raw appetizer with purchase of any beverage.
