Chicagoans are invited to join Chef/Owner Jonathan Fox and La Madia for lazy Italian-style Saturday afternoons in the kitchen for Spring Cooking Classes and Wine Tasting Series.
The next theme, on April 17, will be Fox’s most celebrated craft – Pizza. Participants will learn to make classic artisan pizza dough and proper “stretching” techniques. Recipes include a classic margherita pizza, which includes La Madia’s signature tomato sauce, as well as a seasonal spring pizza. Both wood-burning oven firing and home-oven baking techniques will be discussed while participants enjoy perfectly paired wine selections. Plus guests will receive a take-home pizza making kit so they can try the recipes.
COST: $30 includes class, tastings, recipes and paired wine.
