Lakeview Baseball Club – Tickets Available

Chicago, IL – Lakeview Baseball Club, perhaps most well known for its sign reading “Eamus Catuli!” (roughly Latin for “Let’s Go Cubs!”) flanked by a counter indicating the Cubs’ long legacy of futility, is open for the season.  Established in 1988 and located near right field, Lakeview Baseball Club was the first of the rooftop clubs and is the only private club across from Wrigley Field.

The counter is labeled “AC,” for “Anno Catuli,” or “In the Year of the Cubs.”  The first two digits indicate the number of years since the Cubs’ last division championship as of the end of the previous season (2008), the next two digits indicate the number of years since the Cubs’ last trip to the World Series (1945), and the last three digits indicate the number of years since their last World Series win (1908).

Wrigley Field rooftops have been providing guests with unmatched views into Wrigley Field since the very first opening day on April 25, 1876 when the Cubs first played.  Nowadays Lakeview Baseball Club’s  three levels of space include an air conditioned third-floor Club Room, rooftop bleacher seating for 100, outdoor seating on two levels, two open bars, full catering services and staff for groups up to 200.

Game menus include baseball classics like all-beef Vienna hotdogs, fresh popped kettle corn, and boneless barbecue rib sandwiches along with finer fare like fresh bruschetta bar, veggie burgers, seasonal fruit, and assorted cookies.

Membership to Lakeview Baseball Club offers opportunities for rooftop entertaining, including employee and client parties overlooking Wrigley Field.  The club accommodates memorable events such as wedding receptions, private birthday parties, bachelor/bachelorette groups, anniversary parties, and retirement parties.  The club also features pre-game meeting facilities with state-of-the-art audio visual equipment.  Lakeview Baseball Club is the only Wrigleyville rooftop that is a private club available for private events 365 days per year.

Membership and tickets for both Cubs games and non-game day events can be purchased by calling (773) 935-1880. Lakeview Baseball Club is located at 3633 North Sheffield and boasts spectacular views over right field. Lakeview Baseball Club is now operated by the Hostmark Hospitality Group.
