In celebration of Carnivale’s 2010 Farm to Table Season, Chef Mark Mendez and wife Elizabeth Mendez, also Carnivale’s Wine Director, team up with Slow Food Chicago for a Kick-Off Party. The evening will include small bites and pairings featuring food from Carnivale’s Farm to Table farms along with sustainable wines.
Featured farms at the event include Mick Klug Farms, Swan Creek, Capriole Goat Cheese and Dietzler Farms. Green City Market will also be on hand to show guests how they can buy local and organic for their home kitchens. Complete menu with pairings available upon request.
Chicagoans are invited to experience the best of the Midwest during Carnivale’s annual Farm to Table celebration. One week each month, May through September, Executive Chef Mark Mendez will showcase seasonal ingredients from his favorite local farms. More information available upon request.
