Koi and Chens Free Dumplings

In celebration of the traditional Chinese Dragon Boat festival, Koi and Chens will each be offering complimentary Zong Zi dumplings to all dining guests on Wednesday, June 16.  Zong Zi are traditional savory rice balls stuffed with meat or seafood and wrapped in banana leaves—sometimes known as Chinese tamales.

Complimentary dumplings will be given to all dining guests who dine-in only.  Limit one per person.

Zong Zi are traditionally eaten during the Chinese Dragon Boat Festival, which is celebrated on the fifth day of the fifth month on the Chinese Lunar Calendar.  The festival commemorates the life and death of the famous Chinese scholar Qu Yuan.  He was a loyal minister that served the King of Chu during the Warring States Period in 3 centuries BC.
