About Seedling Farms
South central Michigan is a great place to grow fruit and that’s where Peter Klein tends his orchards on the 81 acres that make up Seedling Farm. The farm produces an abundance of tree fruits. Peter grows almost 80 varieties of fruit on over 5000 trees; apples, peaches, pears, plums, nectarines, cherries, apricots…and this year they are planting pluots and apriums. Seedling Farm uses an integrated pest management system to grow the best quality fruits with the least amount of impact on the environment. They are committed to farming sustainably to ensure the land remains viable, to preserve groundwater and to provide customers with the healthiest, tastiest fruit. Seedling Fruit can be found in Illinois at the Green City Market, Northfield Market, the Oak Lawn Market and other markets in Chicago, as well as at Fox & Obel. In Michigan, the fruit is available at the market in Ann Arbor.
About Capriole Goat Cheeses
Capriole Farmstead Goat Cheeses are made by hand, in southern Indiana, using only the milk of their own herd. They make daily three different kinds of cheese — the common fresh, soft goat cheese, ripened cheeses and aged raw milk cheeses. The farm is also the last working dairy in Floyd County. The internationally-known, family-owned, Greenville, Indiana business was founded in 1976 and born from the desire for a sustainable lifestyle. Capriole Farm, nestled in the hills of Greenville just outside Louisville, makes celebrated cheeses that are featured on menus at restaurants across the country, including Los Angeles, Chicago and New York.
