Chevy Chase Country Club Hosts Monthly Ballroom Dance Lessons

This Month: Cha Cha

Chevy Chase Country Club continues their monthly ballroom dance classes on Wednesday, July 28 with the fourth dance of the season: an evening of Cha Cha in the spectacular Grand Ballroom.  The event features live music by the ten-piece Dick Elliot Orchestra, instructional dance lessons by Chicago legends Bob and Penny Urbon followed by three hours of Open Dancing.  For those who need a little liquid courage, a cash bar is available.

The majestic Chevy Chase Country Club Grand Ballroom maintains its original integrity from the 1920s and its 5,000-square-foot hardwood dance floor, stage area, state of the art sound and lighting system provide the perfect setting for ballroom dancing.  The Abbey, with its vaulted ceiling and vintage horseshoe bar, provides a cash bar and is perfect for gathering and socializing over cocktails in between dances.

Instructors Bob and Penny Urbon, founders of http://www.ballroomchicago.com, have taught in the Chicago area for many years and made their names as the former owners of “Chicago Dance.”  These days, Bob and Penny continue to do what they love best – teaching and sharing the joy of ballroom dancing with as many others as possible.
