Tavern on Rush Releases Mobile Web Site

View Menus, Make Reservations from Smartphone

Tavern on Rush, the perpetually packed restaurant situated at the corner of Rush Street and Bellevue Place, recently optimized its presence on the World Wide Web for the small screen.  Now diners can view menus, the restaurant’s location, social media sites and more – all from their ever-present handheld devices.
Tavern on Rush teamed up with The Arland Group, a Chicago-based creative agency, to build the mobile Web site.  All smartphones can access the user-friendly program, including iPhone, BlackBerry and Android models.
Whether a guest wants to peruse a menu, including Tavern on Rush’s breakfast, lunch and dinner offerings, pinpoint the restaurant’s exact location via Google Maps or make reservations through Open Table, they will now be able to do so directly from their mobile device.  Diners can also view current events and promotions, find private dining information and access Tavern on Rush’s Facebook and Twitter pages.
As more and more people search the Web via their smartphones, Tavern on Rush enters the mobile marketplace at the right time.  And because this is a mobile Web site and not an application, the information is available at any time and doesn’t need to be downloaded to access.
Tavern on Rush has been a Gold Coast favorite since opening its doors in 1998. A sophisticated steakhouse feel permeates the two-level space, which features a bustling bar on the first level and an elegant dining room on the second floor. A vibrant scene unfolds on the 114-seat outdoor patio cafe each day and well into the night, offering one of Chicago’s most energetic people-watching perches. Executive Chef John Gatsos has crafted a classic steakhouse menu that goes beyond the norm with globally influenced dishes made with a healthy touch. A well-edited wine list is joined by several beers and an array of specialty martinis to satisfy even the most discerning drinker.
The Arland Group is a national creative agency based in Chicago. The company specializes in brand management, Web site design, interactive services, mobile technology and more. For more information, visit
