La Trattoria del Merlo invites Chicagoans to their Free Festa for the Neighborhood: a chance to sample their recently launched new menu concept featuring authentic Italian small plates and delicate handmade pastas.
The Free Festa for the Neighborhood includes passed savory samples like Cherry tomatoes, capers, olives & Mozzarella di Bufala Campana on fried pizza crust, In-house marinated king salmon carpaccio, potato, red onion and E.V.O.O. and Beef tenderloin tartar, orange zest & mustard along with a plentiful pasta station featuring hand-made pastas including Tiger shrimp and basil ravioli with zucchini and asparagus and “Pasta Rigati” made of Semola di Grano Duro in Chef Silvia’s traditional ragout Bolognese. Complete menu is available upon request.
Paired Italian wine samplings by Heritage Wines, Wertz Beverage, and Maverick Wines will also be available.
