Chicago Costume Announces Final Ten Locations This Halloween

This Halloween season, Chicagoans have TEN Chicago Costume locations at which they can find their perfectly customized get-up for any festivity.  From Bucktown to Logan Square, trick-or-treaters and party-goers can choose from a vast array of costumes including gangsters, Super Mario Brothers, Renaissance royalty, Harry Potter and more.  Simple masks or intricate wardrobes will transform men, women and children from head to toe.

General Manager Courtland Hickey has been getting calls to reserve his most coveted rentals for weeks – Batman, Elvis, gangsters and the giant gorilla are always the first to go.  But this year he predicts that Avatar, the ‘80s, Michael Jackson and Shrek-inspired costumes will be the most popular, as well as the white-hot, officially licensed Lady Gaga and Jersey Shore costumes.  Because of the resurgence of Alice in Wonderland, White Rabbit, Mad Hatter and Alice costumes will be flying off the shelves, as well.  Offerings include several different Mad Hatter hats ranging from $20 to a hand-made $90 hat with a peacock feather.

Chicago Costume offerings range from a 50-cent clown nose to a $500 custom corseted female pirate costume.  The selection is endless – Chicago Costume has the largest collection of masquerade masks in the city. Prices for costumes to purchase range from $20 to $150 and rentals range from $65 to $125 (with a completely refundable $100 deposit).

Chicago Costume, which has been outfitting Chicago in brilliant costumes since 1976, can fully customize any costumes from a one-person performance to an entire corporate event.  Their staff can e-mail photos of the available rental costumes and help customize a wardrobe for any event or party (chicagocostume@gmail.com).  Special arrangements can be made to meet quick turnaround requests, and wide a variety of sizes are available.
