Chef Silvia’s Selections

La Trattoria del Merlo, who recently launched a new menu concept featuring authentic Italian small plates and delicate handmade pastas, announces their first Chef’s Tasting featuring Chef Silvia’s Selections from the new menu.

The bi-monthly Chef’s Tastings takes place one day only, every other month and features five piattos, or small plates, and a wine pairing option, plus the chance to chat and mingle with Chef Silvia herself.  For only $28 per person, participants will enjoy a selection of five piattos—the menu can be served as separate courses or grouped together.

This month’s selections include Chef Silvia’s favorites from La Trattoria del Merlo’s new menu.  Selections include Artichoke, fennel, and arugula salad with olive pesto, “Pasta Rigati” made of Semola di Grano Duro in Chef Silvia’s traditional ragout Bolognese, and Traditional Bolognese carmelized flan, served with fresh strawberry and strawberry sauce. Wine pairings include selections from Sauvignon Blanc “Luma,” Barbera La Querciola and Banfi Colle Pino (Merlot & Cabernet) among others.  Complete menu is below, wine pairings available upon request.
