The Portage Hosts Glunz Beer Dinner

The Portage will host an exclusive Louis Glunz Beer Dinner on Tuesday, October 5 at 6:00PM.  For $35, guests 21 and over will enjoy a five-course meal paired with carefully selected beers from Glunz Beer including: Jaw Jacker Pumpkin Ale, Hard Pear Cider and Capital’s Rustic Red Ale.  Seasonal menu highlights include: Acorn Squash Risotto, Pan Seared Halibut, and Grilled Venison.

FIRST COURSE:
Buffalo Spiced Pan-Fried Frog Legs, with Vegetables and Homemade Bleu Cheese Spread
Paired with: Scrimshaw Pilsner 

SECOND COURSE:
Acorn Squash Risotto topped with Cinnamon Bacon and Crispy Duck Cracklings
Paired with: Jaw Jacker Pumpkin Ale 

THIRD COURSE:
Pan Seared Halibut Filet with Citrus and Rosemary scented Fennel and Red Potatoes, Mesclun Salad with Crispy Halibut Cheeks, Buerre Blanc
Paired with: Hard Pear Cider 

FOURTH COURSE:
Grilled Venison Loin with Spaghetti Squash and Braised Kale, Berry Demi-Glaze
Paired with: Dogfish Head 60 Minute IPA 

FIFTH COURSE:

Root Beer Float with Cinnamon Ice Cream and Imperial Stout Reduction
Paired with: Rasputin Imperial Stout 

For the Ladies:
Autumn Carrot Cake topped with Buttercream Icing and Brown Ale reduction
