Chens and Koi Chinese New Year Celebration

WHAT: Guests can celebrate the Chinese New Year at Chens in Wrigleyville and KOI in Evanston with traditional Chinese Lion Dancer performances and a special menu of symbolic dishes.  Performances will take place Saturday, February 5 at 7:00 PM at KOI and at 9:00 PM at Chens.  

Diners can enjoy a special, “Good Luck” menu beginning Wednesday, February 2 available through Sunday, February 13.  Dishes include Seafood Pan Fried Noodles – noodles bring long life in the New Year – and Lychee Chicken for prosperity.  Complete menu is below.

Chinese New Year starts on the first day of the new moon and ends on the full moon 15 days later.  The 15th day of the New Year is called Lantern Festival and culminates at night with a children’s parade of lanterns.  This year is the Year of the Rabbit.
