Quartino Ristorante present a meat-free Lenten special every Friday beginning March 11 through April 22. Executive Chef John Coletta prepare a classic Italian seafood medley known as Brodetto ai Frutti di Mare featuring half of a fresh Maine Lobster, clams, calamari, shrimp, and octopus slowly simmered in a savory tomato broth.
In the Roman Catholic Church it is traditional to abstain from meat from mammals and fowl on Ash Wednesday and every Friday for the duration of Lent.
