Chens Celebrates 17th Anniversary with Benefit for Tsunami Relief in Japan

Chens Chinese & Sushi, a Wrigleyville institution for authentic Chinese and Thai cuisine and fresh sushi, celebrates its 17th anniversary with a benefit to raise money for the recent earthquake and tsunami disaster in Japan.  All proceeds will benefit disaster relief in Japan. 

The event will feature decadent Chinese specials like Pork Belly Baos, which are soft steamed buns filled with lettuce and tender soy roasted pork belly; Peking Duck, a culinary achievement with its lacquer-red skin, succulent tender meat and delicate green onions and wrapper; and a Roast Whole Suckling Pig, a unique treat and centerpiece of traditional Chinese celebration.  In addition to these celebratory dishes guests will dine on an assortment of signature Chinese and Sushi dishes that have solidified Chens’ longevity for the past 17 years.  Items include Coca-Cola Chicken Wings5 Spice Chicken RollPrawn FingersDragon Fire Maki, and Chicago Maki among others.  Tickets include food buffet and cocktails.  Complete menu is below. 

Guests will also have the chance to enter a raffle for prizes like restaurant gift certificates, hotel stays, theater tickets and much more.  All proceeds from raffle ticket sales will benefit the Red Cross.
