Gibsons Bar & Steakhouse Rosemont Complimentary Appetizers

Gibsons Bar & Steakhouse in Rosemont extends their daily offering of complimentary signature appetizers throughout the warm spring months.  Chicagoans are invited to relax after work with the complimentary appetizers every Monday through Friday from 4:00 PM – 6:00 PM in the bar area. 

Chef Marco DiBenedetto has created a rotating menu of Gibsons favorites for the complimentary passed appetizer selection which includes Gibsons Filet Sliders, Barbequed Shrimp, House-Made Pigs in a Blanket and more.  DiBenedetto also goes back to his Italian roots and has added his Signature Pizza to the spread.  Photos available upon request.

Hugo’s Frog Bar & Fish House Naperville Wine Dinner

Hugo’s Frog Bar & Fish House in Naperville is excited to announce the continuation of their monthly Wine Event series with a special five course sit-down wine dinner featuring wines from Louis M. Martini.  Dinner will be led by Winemaker Michael Martini from Louis M. Martini Winery and courses prepared by Executive Chef Jose Sosa.  

Louis M. Martini Winery’s philosophy is that great winemaking begins with great vineyards.  Their wines express the best characteristics of Cabernet, the personality of the special places where the grapes are grown, and the vision and skill of the winemaker in blending balanced, engaging, and memorable wines.

The five course event features courses and pairings like Pan Seared Wild Alaskan Halibut crusted in porcini mushrooms with watercress purée with Louis M. Martini Chardonnay, Pan Roasted Duck Breast in an ancho maple glaze with apple maiche salad and apple potato puree and cranberry demi glaze with Louis M. Martini Napa Cabernet, and Gibsons Prime Angus Strip Steak with Yukon gold potato gnocchi and roasted shallot puree in a red wine sauce reduction with Louis M. Martini Alexander Reserve Cabernet among others.  Complete menu is below.

Hugo’s Anniversary Specials and Frog’s Leap Wine Pairings

Hugo’s Frog Bar & Fish House’s Rush Street location is celebrating their 14th anniversary as Chicago’s prime site for fresh fish and seafood with an exciting and thematically appropriate partner: Frog’s Leap.  Executive Chef Daniel Huebschmann has created a menu of seasonal specials that are perfectly paired with a selection of wines from Frog’s Leap, available at special pricing for the entire month of May. Gibsons Bar & Steakhouse in Rosemont announces the first event in their 2011 Sommelier Dinner Series with a Trinchero Napa Valley Wine Dinner featuring Mario Monticelli and courses prepared by Executive Chef Marco DiBenedetto on Thursday, May 12 at 6:30 PM. 

For more than 60 years, Trinchero Napa Valley has provided noteworthy wines from the finest vineyards in Napa Valley and other prime maritime appellations throughout California.

The five-course event features pairings like Crespelle with Sea Urchin Caviar, Lemon Vodka Foam and Chive-infused Mascarpone Cheese paired with 2009 Sauvignon Blanc, Mary’s Vineyard Calistoga; Braised Beef Cheeks with Rosemary Gnocchi paired with 2007 Petit Verdot Central Park West St. Helena, Napa Valley; and Roasted Lamb Chops with Sautéed Morel Mushrooms and Fontina Cream Sauce paired with 2007 Cabernet Sauvignon Signature Limited Release.  The decadent meal will finish with Chocolate Mousse Truffles paired with 2007 Chicken Ranch Merlot.  Complete menu and wine pairings are below.
