Gibsons Bar & Steakhouse in Rosemont announces the first event in their 2011 Sommelier Dinner Series with a Trinchero Napa Valley Wine Dinner featuring Mario Monticelli and courses prepared by Executive Chef Marco DiBenedetto on Thursday, May 12 at 6:30 PM.
For more than 60 years, Trinchero Napa Valley has provided noteworthy wines from the finest vineyards in Napa Valley and other prime maritime appellations throughout California.
The five-course event features pairings like Crespelle with Sea Urchin Caviar, Lemon Vodka Foam and Chive-infused Mascarpone Cheese paired with 2009 Sauvignon Blanc, Mary’s Vineyard Calistoga; Braised Beef Cheeks with Rosemary Gnocchi paired with 2007 Petit Verdot Central Park West St. Helena, Napa Valley; and Roasted Lamb Chops with Sautéed Morel Mushrooms and Fontina Cream Sauce paired with 2007 Cabernet Sauvignon Signature Limited Release. The decadent meal will finish with Chocolate Mousse Truffles paired with 2007 Chicken Ranch Merlot. Complete menu and wine pairings are below.
