The Dailey Method® Opens Kenilworth Location

The Dailey Method® announces a new studio location in Kenilworth, IL to open this August.  The North Shore studio is in a newly remodeled 2,500 square foot first-floor space conveniently located on Green Bay Road across from the Kenilworth Metra train station (410 Green Bay Rd).  The Dailey Method® started 10 years ago in San Francisco, CA and has evolved to become the safest, most effective way to help people achieve their best personal physique.  http://www.thedaileymethod.com/northshore.html

As with The Dailey Method’s other locations, the new studio will feature the company’s proprietary one-hour fitness class which combines athletic ballet barre work, core conditioning, stretching, and orthopedic exercises in an encouraging class environment.  This full-body workout effectively strengthens, tones, and lengthens the entire body while working on proper alignment to help rehabilitate long term injuries and prevent those that can occur over time.   Classes will be held at convenient times throughout each day in a spacious sun-filled studio space.  The location also features retail, a staffed kid’s room and a full service locker room.

“I brought The Dailey Method workout to Chicago’s Bucktown more than 2 years ago and since that time clients consistently tell me the positive impact both our challenging class and encouraging studio environment has had on their lives.  The changes can be seen in improved physical appearance, better posture, and increased self-confidence.  Knowing the positive impact we can have on people has inspired me to expand our exercise practice to the North Shore,” said Tami Conway, owner and Franchisee of The Dailey Method – Chicago.  “Clients achieve the best results when taking class 3 times per week.  Each class is taught in a fun, encouraging and non-competitive atmosphere.  We are excited to bring this atmosphere to the North Shore and look forward to helping more clients become longer, leaner, stronger, and more fit.”

The Dailey Method® North Shore’s initial schedule is below.  Street parking will be available directly in front of the studio and across Green Bay Road.  Daycare will be provided for all morning and afternoon classes Monday – Friday for $6.

Maxine Trend Report: Rose Gold Color

This summer, Maxine colorist Leslie Shores is all about Rose Gold – the color is both warm and fresh, classic yet unexpected.  It looks as gorgeous on that new chunky watch as it does with dewy, summer makeup—and now it’s ready to grace the locks of lucky Chicagoans.

“It’s been a hot trend in jewelry for a while,” says Leslie, “And it’s definitely becoming a trend in hair color as well.”  After spotting rose gold all-over color and highlights on the runway last fall and this spring (and trying it out for herself), Leslie was hooked.

How to Get It
So, how does one achieve this honey-meets-strawberry tone?  “Ask your colorist to spice up your color by alternating a golden blonde with a light strawberry red highlight,” says Leslie.  And, of course, the best way to do that is with balayage.  “The look will be way more natural and now.”  “If you’re ready to go all the way, go with a rose gold base color and add in some blonde balayage to make your new color really shimmer.”

The Perfect Product
To keep rose gold red looking vibrant, Leslie LOVES one of Kérastase’s newest products—the Huile Céleste Shimmering Protective Mist, part of Kérastase’s summer-ready Soleil line.  The Huile Céleste is a lightweight oil mist that protects the hair with UVA and UVB filters.  Hydrating macadamia oil keeps hair from drying out, but it’s super-light—so locks won’t go limp.  The best feature of all, though, are amazing little golden micro-particles that reflect the light.  “The golden flecks will make your hair look incredibly shiny—and enhance your new Rose Gold highlights perfectly.”
