Tuscany Oak Brook Live Music

Guests are invited to enjoy the sounds of the Eustachia Band featuring Cindi Cronin at Tuscany Restaurant in Oak Brook for the monthly music series “Tune into Tuscany: Fourth Fridays Live” on Friday, June 24.  Patrons can also indulge in Tuscany’s revamped $3 Bar Bites Happy Hour, available Monday through Friday from 4:00 PM – 6:00 PM, featuring items like Mini Burgers, Fried Shrimp Tempura, Mini Filet Sandwiches and Baked Caprese Crostini.  Daily drink specials at Tuscany Oak Brook include half-off martinis on Tuesdays, half-off wine on Wednesdays and half-off all beer on Thursdays.  Specials are available in the bar and lounge only.

Gibsons Oak Brook Hosts Charles Krug Wine Dinner

Gibsons Bar & Steakhouse in Oak Brook announces the next event in their 2011 Sommelier Dinner Series with a five-course Charles Krug Wine Dinner hosted by Peter Mondavi Jr. on Thursday, June 16 at 6:30 PM.  Executive Chef Brian Key has created a special menu that is perfectly paired with a selection of wines from Charles Krug (complete menu is available below).  Reservations are required. 

The first winery in the Napa Valley was founded in 1861 by Charles Krug.  Charles Krug Winery concentrates on handcrafted red Bordeaux varietals from Napa Valley appellations under the stewardship of the Peter Mondavi Family.  Peter Mondavi Jr. is the second son of Peter and Blanche Mondavi and grandson of Cesare and Rosa Mondavi, the Napa Valley pioneers who purchased the historic Charles Krug winery in 1943.  As co-proprietor with his brother Marc, he works closely with their father, Peter Sr., on issues of strategic importance, including stewardship of all the winery’s brands.

Gibsons Bar & Steakhouse in Oak Brook Hosts Glenlivet Scotch Dinner

Gibsons Bar & Steakhouse in Oak Brook announces a Glenlivet Scotch Dinner featuring Glenlivet Ambassador Winston Evans and courses prepared by Executive Chef Brian Key on Tuesday, April 26 at 7:00 PM. 

The Glenlivet Distillery, located in Moray, Scotland produces single malt scotch whisky.  Glenlivet scotch has become the biggest selling malt whisky in the United States. 

The five-course event begins with passed appetizers like Foie Gras PB&J paired with The Glenlivet 12 Year Old.  Four courses will follow and highlights include Seared Sea Scallop and Lobster paired with The Glenlivet 16 Year Old Nadurra, and Gibsons Prime Angus Strip Loin paired with The Glenlivet 18 Year Old.  The decadent meal will finish with Flourless Chocolate Cake paired with The Glenlivet 21 Year Old Archive.  All attendees will enjoy a “final toast” featuring The Glenlivet XXV.  Complete menu and scotch pairings are below.

Gibsons Bar & Steakhouse and Hugo’s Frog Bar Live Music

This April, Gibsons Bar & Steakhouse in Rosemont, Oak Brook and on Rush Street and Hugo’s Frog Bar & Fish Houses on Rush Street and in Naperville take their classic dining scenes to the next level with a full schedule of live music.  Every evening (hours vary, see below), guests will enjoy different styles of live music to complete their dining experience.  Admission is free (See full schedule below).

At Hugo’s Frog Bar & Fish House, while guests enjoy their dinner, they will also be treated to the sounds of keyboardist, signer and songwriter Desiree Irwin on Wednesday, April 20 and enjoy pianist and vocalist Sami Scot on Thursday, April 21.  Having performed around the world, Sami Scot has become one of Chicago’s premier solo artists.

Additionally, guests can come for the steak and stay for the music as longtime Chicagoland favorite, Lenny Capp, entertains as the resident musician at Gibsons in Rosemont Wednesdays through Saturdays from 8:00 PM – 12:00 AM throughout April.

Grotto Hosts Wine and Cheese Tasting
