Chicago q Announces Housemade Pickles

Chicago q, the city’s newest hot spot for upscale barbecue, announces that their coveted bread and butter pickles, served complimentary with their house-made potato chips as an amuse-bouche to dining guests, are now available for retail sale.

The exclusive recipe, developed by award-winning Chef/Partner Lee Ann Whippen, features hand-cut fresh cucumbers and a sweet blend of garlic, onions and spices. Chicago q’s pickles are available for $7 per jar.  The Bread and Butter Pickles join Chicago q’s artisanal rubs and house-made sauces, all for retail sale.

Other products include the Original Mild ($5), which is a tomato-based sauce is both rich and sweet; the Spicy ($5) sauce is a tomato-based Virginia state champion sauce that is bold in flavor with light spice; and the Pig Powder ($9). The Gold Award winner in The 2010 Great American BBQ Competition, Pig Powder Dry Rub has 13 different spices that create a dry rub that is sweet with a little kick that can be used on pork, beef, chicken and ribs.
