Carnivale July Live Music Schedule

Featuring a Pre-Music Tequila Class

This July, Carnivale will take its vibrant bar scene to the next level with a full schedule of live music featuring some of Chicago’s most renowned Latin bands.  Every Wednesday from 7:30 PM – 11:00 PM, guests will enjoy live music and entertainment as they indulge in Carnivale’s soulful Latino cuisine and refreshing libations.  Admission is free (full schedule available below).

As a pre-music bonus, guests are invited to join Carnivale’s sommelier Elizabeth Mendez for a Tequila 101 Class.  Before Willie Gomez con Cache takes the stage on Wednesday, July 14, students will learn the history behind world-class tequilas from the region of Jalisco, Mexico while sampling various tequilas from 6:30 PM – 8:30 PM.  Cost is $25 per person and includes tequila samples and appetizers prepared by Executive Chef David Dworshak.

An exciting addition to Carnivale’s July lineup is Carpacho & Su Super Combo, taking the stage on Wednesday, July 21.  With their goal of getting the audience out of their seats and dancing, Carpacho plays a tropical mix of Salsa, Bossa Nova, Cumbia, Bolera and more.

A Carnivale favorite, skilled composer and trombonist 2004 Grammy Nominee Angel Melendez along with his quartet will perform twice in July on Wednesday, July 7 and Wednesday, July 14.  Having played some of the great Chicago venues including The Chicago Symphony Center, Millennium Park’s Pritzker Pavilion, The House of Blues and The Chicago Museum of Contemporary Art, Angel Melendez has grown to become one of the most recognized Latin musicians in Chicago.
